STIHL 4-MIX engine technology provides fast acceleration, more power, added torque, lower noise, reduced emissions and increased fuel efficiency to complete jobs quickly, quietly and more easily.

Anti-vibration system - Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to longer-term effects of blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL have therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system where by the oscillations from the machines engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles allowing for more comfortable and safer operation.

Multi-function control handle - This houses all the engine controls. Easy, comfortable thumb-operated control means the operator's hand never leaves the handle.

Decompression system - The decompression valve allows some of the compression pressure in the cylinder to escape, so less force on the starter rope is needed.  

Tool free filler cap - Patented special filler caps for fuel and oil. These filler caps can be opened and closed again, quickly and easily without tools.
