CUT PROTECTION

Stihl offers cut protection clothing to prevent injuries. This functions according to the following principle: If the chain cuts through the first of several protective layers, bundles of high strength special fibre are ripped out and block the sprocket, bringing the chain to a standstill. This considerably reduces the risk of injury.
 

Special Note:
Protective boots designed for chain saw work provide cut protection over the entire front of the foot plus the tongue. Please bear in mind that no boot or shoe can offer absolute protection from injury.
