With higher torque and up to 80% less emissions and a deeper more pleasant sound. Combined with a well balanced, loop handle, as a light brushcutter, it makes the FS 100 R a leader in its class. The STIHL 4-MIX engine, which runs on a fuel-oil mix just like a 2-stroke, offers the benefits without the compromises of 4-stroke power. STIHL 4-MIX engine technology provides fast acceleration, more power, added torque, lower noise, reduced emissions and increased fuel efficiency to complete jobs quickly, quietly and more easily.

Anti-vibration system - Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to longer-term effects of blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL have therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system where by the oscillations from the machines engine are dampened by rubber buffers. This significantly reduces vibrations at the handles allowing for more comfortable and safer operation.

Loop handle (R): The loop handled grass trimmers and brushcutters are ideal for working in areas where space is limited, e.g. thinning between bushes and shrubs.

Shoulder strap / carrying system - Using a STIHL shoulder strap or carrying harness with soft padding makes work more comfortable, particularly during lengthy jobs.

Multi-function control handle - This houses all the engine controls. Easy, comfortable thumb-operated control means the operator's hand never leaves the handle.

Decompression system - The decompression valve allows some of the compression pressure in the cylinder to escape, so less force on the starter rope is needed.
